True Confession

I am not a virgin blogger. What I mean is that this blog is not my first experience blogging. Truth be told I have been part of a blog since July 2002. I cannot take credit. I would say Val and Nate were the masterminds behind the friend blog, Mugrunners. This is a combination of close college girlfriends (and guy friend - a special shout out to Jeff). These people were present for the college moments, whether it be - getting big gulps at midnight, watching far too many movies, hosting Cinco de Mayo parties, and mostly - just laughing. A lot. Some of the girls I knew from my days in Mesa, AZ. Some of them we met at Ricks College. One I knew in grade school and one even ended up as family! These girls are friends for life and I consider myself very lucky.

These lovely ladies hosted a bachelorette party for me and what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Here are some shots of them trying their luck at the slots.
This isn't the most complete picture - but my computer is taking a bazillion years!!! It was a great weekend and I wore a huge bright pink veil all weekend - it was amazing. Here is a link to my fun for the last 5 plus years:

The End of an Era

We can kiss our single lives good-bye!

On October 27th, I married this guy:

It was the perfect day for us. By the end of the day we were happy and exhausted. Exhausted spirtually, physically, emotionally - it was such a huge step for both of us. We we happy to have our loved ones there for this day. Both of us - Darren and myself were the last ones to get married in our families. Darren was the last of 5 kids to be married, and I was the last of 11 to get married - that is what I meant by the term - The End of an Era. Being the last meant a LOT of people. We we were fortunate to have a photographer that didn't get scared by crowds because this the bunch they were dealing with :

That group is a few friends, mostly family and a lot of happy welcome chaos. We had the reception the night before and loved every minute of it. The only thing we really wished we could do was spend more time with all of our guests. Here are some of my favorite shots from the wedding:

A special shout out to all of my friends and family who made it such a special day - We could not have done it without you. I'll get a slideshow up sometime soon.

Slowing Down

I finally feel as though things are settling. In the past year a few things have happened. Here is a small example:

- Was the Relief Society President
- Had a few roommate changes
- Had a few work changes
- Started dating, got engaged and married Darren
- Went to fabulous Africa
- Planned a wedding for a bazillion people (I think that is the unit of measurement for the Brown family + the Harris family)
- Left singles ward
- Went to Kauai for my honeymoon for a much needed rest
- Joined a family ward
- Got a stake calling with my HUSBAND (love that term) for the Spanish Branch
- Currently attempting to learn Spanish

Wow. I got tired just typing that! I dont' know if my life will slow down or just stay in a fast forward speed, but we are having fun. I will write a post about the wedding soon. I need to put it in writing - I am one lucky girl...
